Costumer’s Guild West (CGW), a non-profit organization dedicated to the art of costuming in Southern California, will award a comprehensive prize to an individual demonstrating exceptional promise in the field. The selected recipient will receive a one-year membership to CGW, a full scholarship to their prestigious Costume College® weekend conference, and a complimentary one-night hotel stay at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles. The conference is scheduled for July 30–August 3 (with the option for the winner to attend in either 2026 or 2027). This award will be granted to the submission deemed to exhibit the highest potential. Costume College is committed to advancing the art of costuming through a diverse array of educational lectures and workshops encompassing all facets of the discipline.

The San Diego Comic-Con Alan Campbell Award

Comic-Con International will present a special award given in memory of long-time Committee and Board member Alan Campbell, who passed away and is sorely missed. Alan was a great fan of the Masquerade, often generously donating his own prize. The Alan Campbell Award will be $500 cash, presented to the entry deemed Best Re-Creation of a Comics or Related Media Character or Characters, as selected by one of the guest judges.Comic-Con International will present a special award in memory of long-time Committee and Board member Alan Campbell, who has sadly passed away and is deeply missed. Alan was a passionate fan of the Masquerade and often generously donated prizes.
